ジョージ・ハリソン ＆ リンゴ・スター
昨晩のビートルズソロ特集の最終日はジョージ・ハリソン ＆ リンゴ・スター。
ジョンやポールほど目立った活動ではなかったけど、いい雰囲気ですね。
ジョージに関しては、いきなり My Sweet Road 。中学の頃、よくギターでやったよな。
前日のポールに続いて、1980年のジョンの死のショックについても言及されていた。
ビートルズ時代の回想映像に関しては、この日に限らず The Beatles Anthology に含まれているものが多かった。（The Beatles Anthology の5枚組みのDVDは5回くらい見たかな。）
ジョージというと、インド音楽でシタールというイメージも強いと思うが、実はウクレレを愛していたことが回想映像の中にもあって良かった。
リンゴに関しては、モノクロ音声の珍しい映像が2点。これは本当にレアだと思う。解散後も他の3人とのセッションをしたことなど、リンゴの人柄がよく出ている。1998年のLa De Daは初めて見たが、年輪を重ねたリンゴの人柄と歌い方がそても渋くてGood。
そして、最後に4人の原点であるBeatlesのファーストシングルの Love Me Doで締め。なかなか良かった。パーソナリティの松村雄策さんと渋谷陽一さんが、この4人が揃ってリバプールという田舎町にいたこと奇跡であることと、今の若者に対して、同時代に生きたことを「ザマーミロ」といっていた気持ちは良くわかる。
自分はBeatles時代はリアルタイムではなかったけど、解散直前から70-80年代のソロ活動時代だけでもリアルタイムだったことがうれしい。
松任谷由美の作品で、バンバンの歌った「イチゴ白書をもう一度」の元ネタである映画「イチゴ白書」で、学生が講堂みたいなところで、手で床をたたきながら、ジョンの Give Peace a Chance を歌っていた（叫んでいた）のは、今でも鮮明に覚えている。
3日間で、最初のジョンの日のみ歌詞の対訳がテロップされていた。ポールのときもあったほうが良かったと思うが、やはりジョンは曲だけでなく詩も理解したいと思う。
（ちなみに自分の政治信条はコンサーバティブですが、時代背景、自己の表現手法など、ジョンを支持することも多々あります。）
